"Live at the Ohio Theatre"

The Polka Floyd Show comes alive with their second album “Live at the Ohio Theatre.” This live recording captured their January 24, 2009 performance at the historic Ohio Theatre. The album features 14 Floyd favorites ramped up polka style! Songs such as “Another Brick in the Wall,” “Comfortably Numb,” and the early Barrett-era classic “The Gnome,” are given the patented Polka Floyd Show treatment.

The Polka Floyd Show - the only “Pink Floyd done polka style” tribute band - has been creating quite a buzz throughout the Midwest for their highly entertaining performances. This unique cover band has attracted music fans from London to Fargo, and count psychobilly star Unknown Hinson and “Star Trek” actor and author Wil Wheaton among their fans. Their debut album received a “Best Cover/Tribute album” nomination in the International 2009 Just Plain Folks Awards.

The Polka Floyd Show pay tribute to Pink Floyd their own way by performing classic songs from throughout the band’s long musical history; from early Syd Barrett period to the epic “The Wall.” In 2008, Static Records released their self-titled debut album that delivered their unique spin on seven classic Pink Floyd tracks from six different albums that spanned three decades.

This album is a must for fans of Pink Floyd, polka music lovers, world music connoisseurs and rock fans alike. Accordions rock!

The album received rave reviews from music aficionados across the globe:

“Polka Floyd plays remarkably good renditions of all your favorite Floyd tunes with a polka twist that’ll have you jaw-dropped in awe at the stellar musicianship while laughing at the pure ridiculousness of it all at the same time.” - Ryan Bunch, Toledo City Paper

"Polka Floyd is one of those rare bands that stand out from all the others.  They're fine musicians AND they're different. Combining some "old world instruments" with "new world sounds" isn't easy, but Polka Floyd makes it fun and very entertaining." – Unknown Hinson

“On paper, it sounds like a musical mess: Pink Floyd and polka? But sometimes, good things come from strange combinations.” - Ed Caroll, Independent Collegian
